Personal Branding Do’s & Don’ts

This is so important it should be a mandatory training course in school.

Regardless of what opportunity, service, or product you are trying to sell, 99% of the time it comes down to YOU.

People buy from people they know, like and trust.  Sorry to say this but a lot of your success depends on how well people perceive you and your “method of operation”.

I can prove it to you…. A brand new company starts and people are “scrambling” to call others to get them to join. Are you one of the people that gets called on the list or are you one of the people who “eventually” finds out about it down the road. YOU NEED TO BE ONE OF THE FIRST TO GET CALLED.

What I mean by this is that people are attracted to leadership, people who are going somewhere. When branding yourself, everything matters. How you talk to people, your attitude, the clothes you wear, when posting stuff on Social Networks are you putting something on there that’s useful or “join my happy farmer waste my time club” stuff. Are you posting pictures on either your websites, blogs or anywhere people can see them that are professional?  Do you have a smile in the photo or do you look like your in a scene from the Blair Witch Project?

It all matters. It’s you branding YOU on the internet or in person. Always remember this… If I saw it/read it/heard it , would it make me feel like I know you, would want to know you, like you or want to learn more about you and ultimately would I trust you based on what I see and hear?

It’s the little things like this that make a BIG difference.
