Have you ever had a problem getting a friend or a family member to listen to your “pitch” ?

Most of us have. Once I figured this simple technique out it changed my business.

You see, until you have a “track record” of success, most of them will not take the time to listen and could miss out on a great opportunity by prejudging the Messenger instead of the message.

Here’s the best way I found to get any family member or friend to listen to my business opportunity presentation.

Here’s the technique…

I would ask a friend or family member if I could “PRACTICE MY PRESENTATION” on them.

That’s it!   I would say something to them like, “Joe, hey would you help me out?….I just started with a new company and I need to PRACTICE my presentation. Would you listen to me and then critique my presentation for me? ”

When I started to do this, it took all the pressure off of me and my friend or family member. It gave me the chance to actually practice my presentation and most importantly, it made my friend of family member listen intently on the material I was putting in front of them.  This always created dialogue about my business and usually generated interest in my opportunity to the point that when we talked I could then take them to the next step of the “Prospecting Process” like a 3-way call or whatever.

Try this out next time you want to have coffee with a friend and increase your skill level at the same time.

Who knows, you may even get a new rep.
